DESCRIPTION
Alphasan Foodsafe is a liquid formulation of Chlorine Dioxide gas at ≤1000ppm active ingredient. It has an oxide state of -7 valence with no trace materials. In solution, CL02 exists as a true gas. Alphasan Foodsafe is a powerful broad spectrum biocide which functions by oxidation of cell membranes, affecting protein development and interfering with the metabolic function resulting in cell destruction. Alphasan Foodsafe is a yellow-green gas that is noncorrosive, non-flammable, non-toxic solution in water. The main advantage of using Alphasan Foodsafe for disinfection is the pH independence of the reaction. Unlike chlorine, Alphasan Foodsafe will inactivate pathogenic micro-organisms at the same rate between pH5 and pH9. This product will destroy most bacteria, fungi, viruses, spores and moulds. Alphasan Foodsafe is ideal for the sanitation and disinfection of water, is a food industry sanitiser and produce life extender a food hygiene product. It eliminates odours. SAFETY INFORMATION
Carefully read the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) before using this product. Store away from direct sunlight and at less than 30°C. Due to its unique formulation the hazards and risks normally associated with the storage, handling and use of dangerous and toxic chemicals are substantially reduced. Do not inhale fumes. Alphasan Foodsafe does not leave any detectable chemical residue and breaks down to a chloride salt. Trihalomethanes (THM) and organic chlorines (AOX) are not formed when using Alphasan Foodsafe. It does not taint surfaces with colour, taste or smell. Is de-activated by sunlight UV. Does not react with ammonia.
